Half Beat off Music was created while navigating the life my Lord and Savior gave me. Being an adult in today's world is not easy, and without the Lord in a person's life, I can't imagine how it would be possible. After building a profitable business in construction, having kids, and being a husband while serving the Lord, one of the biggest heartbreaks in my life occurred. It happened because I was listening to 'me' and not the Lord. A heartbreak so wrenching that when I turned to my Savior for help, I pleaded for relief from the pain, asked for mending of my heart, and demanded that Satan leave me. Then my prayers were answered—with music! Never having even written one word of a song, God placed words in my heart that poured out as Christian songs meant for those who need fixing, encouragement, or simply soothing melodies. I hope one of these songs catches your heart, and if you're not close to God at the moment, know that I will keep you in my prayers for Him to lead you to Him. I pray our music ministry touches your life, brings you closer to the Lord, and teaches you that all you have to do is believe and ask, and it shall be given.

I've always been a Christian, saved and baptized at an early age. I just didn't always do the things that God wanted me to do. I know now He guides us to do His will, and it is up to us to listen to Him or to try to do it our way. The funny thing is, as I've learned through my journey, we should listen to Him the first time instead of doing things our way and then praying again for the same guidance. Oh, just think how our lives would be so much more fulfilling and happy if we embraced His path from the start.
I didn't grow up in a home filled with love or following God, but as I have matured, I look back now and think of all the hurt I didn't have to go through alone. I've always felt alone most of my life, like I had no place where I felt welcomed. But I was never alone; I'm not alone today. God has always been here for me; I just didn't reach out to Him.
In 1995, I met my soul mate, and we were exactly alike, both navigating a tough world. In 2017, he went home to be with the Lord, leaving me to grieve and fall into a dark depression. Last year, Buddy Johnson, a devout Christian and a man of God, came into my life, and I know God sent him. Through God, Buddy literally saved my life by ministering to me and bringing me back to the Word of God.
I am so blessed to be part of this next chapter in my life, creating Christian songs that resonate with our experiences. I pray that each of you who listens to our music ministry will feel blessed in many ways. Just believe, and you will receive! God Bless You.

Growing up in the church, music has always been a part of my walk with Christ. From the early days of learning to play and sing Christian songs, to now serving through worship in my music ministry, I’ve found joy in using the gifts God gave me for His glory.
As the years have passed, I’ve come to realize that following Jesus isn’t about being seen—it’s about being faithful. My journey has taught me to focus less on recognition and more on humility, on giving rather than receiving. Whether I’m strumming a guitar or lending a helping hand behind the scenes, I want my life to reflect the love and grace that Christ has shown me.
I may be getting older, but my heart still beats with the same desire: to serve the Lord with all I have, to stay grounded in His Word, and to keep growing in kindness, patience, and generosity. Because at the end of the day, it's not about me—it’s all about Him.
